Here’s what I’m doing these days …

doTERRA is one of the largest essential oils distributors in the world. We work with families to use natural solutions for their everyday life.

Moms turn to us when…
Their current approach to health is not achieving the results it was supposed to, they are tired of using chemical concoctions for literally everything, they are confused by all of the natural options out there and they will never have time to research it all, they want more energy to do the things they love without the side effects of stimulants, and they want to increase the overall quality of life for their family.

Doterra offers a full line of essential oil kits to support your family’s health goals, whatever they are.
Doterra has raised the bar in the essential oils industry. There are no fillers, no artificial ingredients, and no dilution. The plants are grown in their ideal environments, and the oils go through five levels of testing to ensure purity and potency. This means that when you see the Doterra label, you can be assured you will see the highest health benefits.

I Love My Job!: Gail

Happy Monday everybody! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We sure did! I made a turkey with all the trimmings and we had family down to visit from Ohio. On Mondays like this after a big weekend full of going nonstop it’s always a little bit harder to get going. Here’s a little something to hopefully help cushion your Monday morning and get you motivated.

This morning I have the privilege of introducing you to my dear friend Gail. She’s a very talented lady and knows how to get the job done with style and grace and she truly loves what she does. We used to work together and she was one of those people who had a way of stopping by to say hello just when you needed to see a friendly smile. A ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! Never underestimate the power of a friendly smile and kind word, it may be just what someone needs to get them through the day.

Name: Gail Sech

Five Questions

What brought you to this job?

I had spent more than six years working for a large digital agency and had tired of the politics. Once on the outside, I realized how many really cool things were happening locally in marketing and technology and how many really smart people were making a difference. I was working on doing my own agency when Adept stepped in made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In my old job, we worked with big, established companies. Today I work with much more exciting, entrepreneurial brands.

What do you love most about your job?

I love talking to new people all the time and learning about what they are doing or trying to do. I have a lot responsibility in this position, but also a lot more respect. 🙂

What’s the biggest challenge?

Getting all the work done! Only so many hours in a day.

What one piece of advice you would give someone wanting to work in your field/industry/position?

You have like to a fast pace and be open to things to change quickly.

Who inspires you? (in your field or otherwise)

I think my parents both inspired me the most with their hard work ethic and the belief that we are all responsible to work hard, do our best and contribute to society.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I think that as a kid, I always wanted to work in business, so in a way, I guess this is it. One of my friends tells me that I am the only person she knows who actually still works in her college major. I have a marketing degree 🙂

Thank you Gail for sharing with us! Do you love your job? What gets you going on a Monday morning? Leave a comment and tell us more!

Working Mama

My little Byrdie turned one last week but I’ll tell you more about that later. For now I just wanted to say that I love my job. I love being a stay at home Mom and I am very blessed to have a little part time gig too. I work for Genre Creative – assisting on photo shoots, running our new photobooth The Soap Box, writing blogs, updating social media and whatever else my friend Robin needs help with. It can never be said enough … when you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. I love this job and having worked jobs I didn’t love by varying degrees I can truly say I that I am thankful from the bottom of my heart. Plus I am learning more about photography and I get to run a photobooth! I’ve come a long way since I wrote this. So between being a wife, mommy, work, my Etsy store and this blog … things are a quite busy! I will be posting here more often though so don’t give up on me. For today I leave with you a couple of fun pics from the photobooth at my little Byrdie’s birthday party.

Winter Colours Week 2011

It’s Winter Colours Week over at one of my very favorite blogs www.poppytalk.com and I’m playing along. Because it’s January and we could all use a little color to brighten our days. I used to be afraid of color and painting walls bright colors but not anymore. Bring on the color! Splash it on, paint with bold strokes, you can never have too much color! Today is all about red, berry, cerise, etc. So I’m digging back into my photos to one taken back in July on the day my little byrdie was due, July 11th. This is icy sweet Mexican ice cream at a taco truck.

My Little Byrdie

As of today we have a 6 week old little baby girl. The past month and a half have been a time like no other I’ve ever known! She was born on July 21st at 11:09pm and our lives have not been the same since. It’s all such a blur, a whirlwind, in the beginning the first few weeks just felt like one very long day with very little sleep. My intention from the beginning has been to take one photo every day of her first year and post it here. Pictures have been taken, but this is the first minute I’ve had to sit down and write. The pictures will come, all of them. I just wanted to post a little update and say we are still here just trying to sort everything out and just now starting to make a little sense out of life with baby.  It may be a slow process but I’m making my way back to writing and posting.

To say we are overjoyed would be the understatement of all time. She is simply amazing, a gift and truly a miracle. She stole our hearts instantly and we love her so much. And so life with our little Byrdie begins.
